Tabernacle Prayer - a new and living way through Jesus Christ

The Tabernacle of Moses and the temple of Solomon lay before us a pathway into God's presence that finds its fullness and reality in the New Testament.

The Tabernacle comprised:

The Brazen Altar: This was a place of judgement, picturing the cross of Christ.

The Brazen Laver: A place of cleansing, picturing for us the washing of water by the Word.

The Seven Branched Candlestick: Pictures for us the light of revelation and the seven fold Holy Spirit (Isaiah 11)

The Table of Shewbread: Picturing for us Jesus, the bread of life, the sustaining Word of God.

The Altar of Incense: Symbolising prayer, praise and worship being lifted toward God.

The Ark of the Covenant: Picturing the place of God's presence and habitation, where He speaks intimately to us.

Through the blood of Jesus this whole avenue has been opened to us. We are invited into the very intimate presence of God – the holy of holies.

Tabernacle prayer explains how the born again Christian can come into this present reality. Through the death and resurrection of Christ the holy of holies has been opened to all who will believe.

The Tabernacle pictures a pathway of approach to God's presence which now finds its reality in the New Covenant through Christ. Through application of New Testament reality to the Old Testament picture in the Tabernacle of Moses, a profound and holy pathway of prayer is opened to the believing soul, which when practiced transforms the pray-er and ushers him or her into the very presence of God to hear Him speak intimatley to their heart.

Tabernacle Prayer - The Father\'s desire for friends and comrades

No other subject is given as much detail and attention in the Old Testament as the Tabernacle of Moses. This is no surprise when we realize that the Tabernacle is a revelation of the pathway into the very presence of God.

God told Moses that He would speak intimately to him from above the ark of the covenant in the Holy of holies (Exodus 25:22).The Ark resided in the holy of holies, a place reserved for a selct few, and that only once a year. The blood of Jesus rippeed the veil away, and opened a new and living way into the Holy of holies for anyone who will believe. It is this kind of intimacy and fellowship with God that Tabernacle Prayer is all about.

God's desire has always been for a people with whom he could love and befriend – those with whom he could partner to establish his will in the earth. He began with Adam, and things were messaed up, but through Christ this kind of intimate relationship has now been restored.

Tabernacle prayer offers a pathway that opens such a door of fellowship with the Father. No longer is there a veil between mankind and God, and no longer is prayer and God\'s presence the privilege of a select few. Jesus Christ has not only made a way, He IS the Way!

Tabernacle Prayer is the revelation of this new and living way that has been opened to us. Through application of New Testament reality to the Old Testament picture in the Tabernacle of Moses, a profound and holy pathway of prayer is opened to the believing soul, which when practiced transforms the pray-er and ushers him or her into the very presence of God to hear Him speak intimatley to their heart.
